ArcGIS 3D Analyst is an ArcGIS Desktop. ArcGIS 3D Analyst allows you to use 3D GIS capabilities to create, edit, analyze, and view data in 3D. ArcGIS 3D Analyst comes with 3D analysis tools that can help you determine the contour, slope, or elevation of a region; the size of the shadow cast by a proposed building; or the intersecting geology beneath the surface of a parcel. ArcGIS 3D Analyst also comes with an extensive set of geoprocessing tools for working with point cloud data from lidar.
